Back To Back Releases With DREJ
Keeping with the trend of collaborating with promising up and coming talent, Spencer of Find Some Time releases video after video featuring local Hip Hop and R&B talent, DREJ. The 19-year-old artist initially gained exposure earlier this year through the social media app TikTok with his track, On Everything. A few short months following his success, DREJ and Spencer worked together to create a visual interpretation of the artist's moody yet confident musical aesthetic.
The two decided to first work with a relatively older song from DREJ's catalog, STUCK, for its catchy sing-along lyrics combined with a simple, hard-hitting guitar instrumental. The resulting video featured numerous locations, most notable of which being the Ringling Museum in Sarasota. Oddly enough, just after filming outside the front gates of the museum, Spencer recalls a forensics team approaching the area immediately as they were leaving, citing the occurrence as "Mad sus."
Just one month after the release of their first collaboration, DREJ approached Spencer with a remix of Rod Wave's Rags2Riches. Within the same day of the first listen, the filming process was already underway. Unfortunately, many of the planned locations had been unusable due to poor weather, making improvisation necessary to complete filming. Despite the complications, however, Spencer and DREJ managed to find over five separate locations to film the video.
